Jennifer & Daniel are Married!!

On July 9th, 2011 Jennifer Paruch & Daniel Sochor were married!  It was a gorgeous sunny summer day with no rain!!  Yay!!  I started at beautiful Villa D’ Citta on Halsted.  Talk about a great place to get ready.  This place was stunning with dark hardwood floors, beautiful rooms and a great patio area tucked away in the city.  The Villa was literally 2 minutes away from the Church which was nice too.  All the details of the day were simply too much fun to photograph from the dress, the elaborate shoes and engagement ring to the beautiful flowers!  I loved the muted pink colors of the bouquets together with the champagne colored bridesmaid dresses.    I got some great getting ready shots of Jennifer and all the girls before heading over to St. Vincent de Paul Parish on Webster Ave.  The church was very big and ornate with a great balcony area for some great shots of the lovely and touching ceremony.  Once the catholic ceremony was done we took some shots on the steps of the church before heading to the 1936 white Packard they rented for their special day!  Wow!  This car was beautiful.  We headed to the Ravisloe Country Club for some great shots with the car and then I took the bride and groom and bridal party to the grounds of the country club for some great group shots.  The Ravisloe County Club is simply stunning!!  I love that place.  Having shot there before I was familiar with it’s gorgeous grounds and couldn’t wait to get back there and shoot there again.  It is the epitome of old world beauty and charm!  It was founded in 1901 so it has lots of history!  The reception dinner was delicious!!  Jennifer and Daniel enjoyed the toasts of family and friends before eating dinner and getting on the dance floor for their first dance.  Then the dance floor opened up for everyone and they all were having a great time!   A HUGE shout out to my second shooters, Tracy Petersen and Layla Eloa for doing a great job throughout the entire day!!  Jennifer and Daniel are such a sweet couple and I know they are going to have many years of happiness together!!  I was honored to photograph their beautiful wedding day!  Congratulations to you both!  I wish you all the happiness in the world!  Here are some of my favorite images of the day!  Enjoy!

Abby & Adam are Married!!

On June 25, 2011 I had the distinct pleasure of photographing the wedding of Abby Olivieri & Adam Brook.  It was an honor to capture their special day.  These two are such a great couple and their love for each other is so evident!  I started at Abby’s parent’s house getting details and the getting ready shots.  I loved Abby’s dress and her entire look.  She really looked gorgeous and elegant!  After the getting ready shots we headed over to the beautiful Montefiori in Lemont, IL.  This place is so picturesque!  The photos looked like paintings and the weather and lighting was perfect for great shots.  Abby & Adam did a “first look” and then we spent some time going around the grounds getting some wonderful shots of the two of them before doing some outside bridal party & family photos.  Then it was time for the ceremony.  It was a very emotional and memorable ceremony filled with both laughter and tears.  Then it was time to enjoy the rest of the night!  The reception was great once again filled with more laughter and tears and plenty of dancing at the end of the night.  Toast n Jam really got the guests dancing and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves!!  Congratulations Abby & Adam!!  I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together!  Your wedding day was so beautiful and you are both beautiful people!!  Take a look at some of  my favorite images!

On June 11th, 2011 Jessica Marx & John Barney were married at the beautiful Kemper Lakes in Hawthorne Woods!  Me and my fabulous second shooter, Ernst Jacobsen, started at the hotel taking shots of the girls getting ready.   I LOVED Jessica’s hair with the white flower and her makeup was just perfect!!  After getting ready we then headed over to Kemper Lakes for all the bridal party shots before the ceremony.  The ceremony was so romantic!!  They were married outside near the lake and under the beautiful willow trees!!  It was such a pretty & touching ceremony!  After they were hitched we took some family shots and then we got some gorgeous photos of Jessica & John near the lake before going into cocktail hour.  The reception was a great time!  Everyone enjoyed themselves and the dance floor was full all night!!  Jessica & John were so much fun and the wedding was simply beautiful!  Congratulations Jessica & John!  I wish you the best!  Here are some of the highlights!!

Carolyn & Jason are Married!!

On May 29th, 2011 Carolyn Freeman & Jason Cade were married at the lovely Patrick Haley Mansion!  To say this wedding was extravagant and just amazingly elegant is an understatement.  The day started with a major rain downpour but after mother nature ran it’s course the skies were pretty clear for the rest of the day.  The mansion was a perfect setting for this beautiful summer wedding!  If was filled with so many picturesque rooms and filled with so much character.  I started the day by taking getting ready shots at the hotel with all the girls.  Then we headed over to the mansion for the first look, family portraits and pictures of the bride & groom prior to the ceremony.   The ceremony was wonderful!  The sunlight came through the full length windows…. Once again breathtaking!  After the ceremony ended the party began!  We went right into the cocktail hour and reception.  Everyone was having a great time dancing and the live band was fabulous!  Two days after the wedding we headed over to the beautiful Chicago Botanic Gardens for a bridal fashion session.  Again the day started with an outburst of rain but quickly went away so we could take such beautiful pictures all over the gardens.  We started in the Rose garden and made our way back all the way through to the Japanese Garden.  Carolyn and Jason were such fun to work with.  They and their families were wonderful and once again I can’t tell you how beautiful every little detail was!  Congratulations Carolyn & Jason!  I wish you much happiness in your new marriage together!!  Here are some of the highlights of the day!

A Ray of Hope on Earth!!

On June 6, 2011 I had the honor of photographing 560 WIND’s Third Annual Tee Party Golf Outing at the Elgin Country Club to benefit “A Ray of Hope on Earth”.  A Ray of Hope on Earth was founded by former Chicago Bear, Ray McElroy and is resolute about empowering youth, changing lives and making a difference by any means necessary! Being blessed with the platform of football is just the vehicle to impart meaningful principles into the lives of youth, young adults and families across America.  It was a fun filled day with Big John Howell, Amy Jacobson, Otis Wilson, Ray McElroy, Earl Bennett, Caleb Hanie & Corey  Wootton.  The day started with a delicious luncheon from Kathy Pedersen of On Occasion Catering.  Then we headed outside for photos of the foursome players with John & Amy and the Chicago Bears!  A short announcement was made from Big John Howell & Amy before heading out to the beautiful golf course for an 18 hole game!  It was a hot but gorgeous day for golf and everyone had a great time.  After a few hours of golf the night ended with a dinner and a few words from Amy Jacobson, Big John Howell, Tom Sodeika of Precision Payroll of American &  Ray McElroy!  I had a blast meeting some great people and enjoying the day!  Here are some of the highlights!

Sanja & Ryan are Married!!

On May 14th, 2011 Sanja Karamehmedovic & Ryan Burklow were married!  They were married in the cutest little chapel I have ever seen!  It had so much character!  I started by meeting Sanja at the hotel where she was getting ready with her sister.  After that we headed over to the beautiful Hyatt Lodge at McDonald’s Campus for some shots of Sanja & Ryan before heading over to the Wayside Chapel in Palos Park.  The chapel was located at the top of this green lush hill tucked away in the trees.  So quaint and lovely.  It drizzled most of the day but we made the most of it and was very fortunate to have the weather cooperate with us in the beginning of the day.  After the beautiful ceremony we headed over to Maggiano’s Banquet in Oak Brook for the cocktail hour and reception.  The room was gorgeous with tons of dark wood everywhere!  Once the party got started the guests were clearly having a blast dancing all night.  As you can see I got some great dancing shots!!  I also want to give  a shout out to Ernst Jacobsen, my second shooter, who did a wonderful job capturing the day with me as well!  Sanja & Ryan I wish you both many happy years together!  You and your family were wonderful to work with!!  Here are some of the highlights of the day!  Enjoy!

On May 8th I met up with Colleen & Ted for their engagement session at Buckingham Fountain & the Art Museum Gardens!  It was the most gorgeous day ever!!  Colleen & Ted got engaged at Buckingham Fountain so that place had special meaning to them and made for a great backdrop for some of their photos.  We started there and made our way down Michigan Avenue to the Art Museum Gardens!  I had such a great time shooting both of them.  They are such a wonderful couple…so nice and so much in love and I think that came out in their photos.  Oh and boy did we luck out with the abundance of beautiful tulips which happen to be my favorite flower!  The vibrant colors are breaktaking and they were in full bloom this day for sure!  I couldn’t be happier for Colleen & Ted and I am so excited to shoot their wedding coming up in July!!  Here are some of my favorite shots of the day!  Enjoy!!

Our 1st Cooking Club!!

On Sunday, April 17th my sister hosted our first Cooking Club.  (We have yet to come up with a special name for our club)  The theme was the color RED.  We each made a dish and shared our recipes.  Everything tasted so good!!  We had barbecue chicken, green beans with red bell peppers, feta & tomato salad, corn bread ( not red but delish!), red punch, red velvet cupcakes and chocolate covered strawberries!  I went home with a food baby in my stomach but everything was aweseome!!  My sister, Carla, is set to host the next one and I’m looking forward to it!  Here are some images!
